Confidence lies in the eyes of the matron,
sufficiently down to earth to know
the grounds on which her legs
hold her up.
By the shore, her giving smile
shines like a lighthouse,
lets the drowning know that unlike
their moon- always distant, cold-
there’s a hand to hold, to help
them up onto the sand.
Rightly said …as a woman’s body goes through so many changes in a lifetime…no sucking in tummies or anything else

This is gorgeous. Wow. I love the perspective on a beach body and the powerful mother-body of the poem.
