He asked me to write him a poem.
He asked me to
reach out for rhyme and for rhythm. He asked me
to think, feel, and breathe, to be human. He said to
grab meter and put it in
structure and thrust it near
thought bubbles. He said to go
dabble with words and ideas and irony,
metaphor, emphasis. He said to gather,
combine, said to
separate, just to create. This man
asked me to sing and to share and
evoke.
He said play. He said
play and work
hard at it.
From all this, these ideas together express what at the moment they feel the desire to write and write.
Greetings.

Sounds like a great teacher. Nothing like making a student feel the lines and not merely penning them down.

His course was so fun. And I definitely still have his voice living inside my head helping me with my poetry to this day!
