Charlie, ever pleasant as
a glowing fireplace
offered friendship to the world,
with beauty on his face.
In his eyes the fire crackled;
In his eyes, it rained.
The candle flickered, water soon
to set the oil ablaze.
Charlie, ever pleasant as
a glowing fireplace
offered friendship to the world,
with beauty on his face.
In his eyes the fire crackled;
In his eyes, it rained.
The candle flickered, water soon
to set the oil ablaze.
Your poetry gives me the grand pleasure of stolen penny-candy. Guilt-free and so comforting.
